Biography
Adam Laerkesen is a Sydney based sculptor. Adam has been practicing and exhibiting extensively since graduating from the National Art School and completing his Bachelor of Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts in 1987.
Adam has exhibited in Beirut, twice been a finalist for Sculpture by the Sea, exhibited in commercial and non commercial galleries continually across Sydney, has been a finalist in Art Off the Wall for Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Art Fairs. Adam recently was selected by Sass and Bide fashion company as one of their top ten favorite creators for Creative Sydney. He was also selected to participate for Art Month Sydney. Adam has been selected to participate in the Gippsland gallery ‘Dreamweavers’ 2011 exhibition. This show will tour nationally and will include international artists. His work has been collected both by significant collectors and institutions such as Art Bank, Sue Cato and Sass and Bide. Adam has been published and reviewed by Sculpture and the Enemies, Art Month, Australian Art Collector and The Sydney Morning Herald.
